El trabajo se condujo en el Instituto de Investigaciones Hortícolas “Liliana Dimitrova” en una casa de cultivo protegido, sobre un suelo Ferralítico Rojo típico éutrico, de noviembre a junio 2009/2010 (año 1) y 2010/2011 (año 2), respectivamente. Los portainjertos evaluados fueron ‘Rossol’, ‘Motelle’, ‘Beaufort’ F1, Solanum torvum Sw. y Solanum globiferum Dun. que fueron injertados por el método de púa terminal con el ‘HA 3105’ F1, utilizado también como control sin injertar. Se empleó un diseño experimental de bloques al azar con tres repeticiones y seis tratamientos. La plantación se realizó a una densidad de 2 plantas.m-2 en una parcela de 10 m2. Se evaluaron variables productivas y de calidad externa e interna del fruto. El rendimiento en el tratamiento ‘HA 3105’/‘Rossol’ fue significativamente superior al del control sin injertar en ambos años. La técnica de injerto no afectó la calidad del fruto de las plantas de tomate injertadas. Resultó similar o significativamente superior al control, las valores de firmeza, grosor del pericarpio, eje ecuatorial y polar del fruto en los tratamientos con ‘Rossol, ‘Motelle’ y ‘Beaufort’ y la variable sólidos solubles totales en los injertos sobre S. torvum y S. globiferum. The yield behavior and the quality of fruits in tomato plants grafted on different rootstocks were evaluated. The work was conducted at “Liliana Dimitrova” Horticultural Research Institute in a protected cultivation house on a typical eutric Red Ferralitic soil, from November to June 2009/2010 (year 1) and 2010/2011 (year 2), respectively. The rootstocks evaluated were ‘Rossol’, ‘Motelle’, ‘Beaufort’ F1, Solanum torvum Sw. and Solanum globiferum Dun. that were grafted by the terminal cleft method on ‘HA 3105’ F1 hybrid, also used as ungrafted control. An experimental randomized block design with three replications and six treatments were used. Planting was carried out at a density of 2 plants.m-2 on a plot of 10 m2. Yield and external and internal fruit quality variables were evaluated. The yield of the ‘HA 3105’/’Rossol’ treatment was significantly higher to the ungrafted control in both years. The grafting technique did not affect fruit quality of grafted tomato plants. The values of firmness, thickness of the pericarp, equatorial and polar axis of the fruit in treatments with ‘Rossol’, ‘Motelle’ and ‘Beaufort’ and the total soluble solids variable on S. torvum and S. globiferum grafts were similar or significantly higher than those of the control.
