Durante los años 2012 y 2013, se han producido105 toneladas de arroz cáscara seco de los cultivares Reforma, IAC -40 y Prosequisa -4 que ha posibilitado autoabastecer el territorio y vender el excedente otras zonas. La semilla producida ha sido evaluada por el SICS. Los resultados obtenidos han contribuido a difundir tecnologías dentro del Proyecto de Cooperación para la Producción de Arroz Vietnam- Cuba, y aumentar el nivel de vida del productor y su familia. The result show the possibility of producing high-quality seed in the suburban perimeter of the Northeastern part of Cuba, specifically in the municipality of Mayari, This allowed self- supply and sales to the other areas. The seed obtained was certified by the Seed certification supervision system. These results contributed as well to promote technology in the Viet Nam Cuba rice production cooperation Project, and increase the living standards of the producers and their families.
