LICAL, nueva variedad de pimiento obtenida mediante la androgenesis in vitro, para cultivar a campo abierto y en cultivos protegidos LICAL, new variety of pepper obtained by in vitro androgenesis for open field and protected cultivations Depestre Manso, Tomás L. Hernández Hernández, Tania Bravo González , Elena Martín Rodríguez, Huberney La variedad LICAL, de doble propósito (para campo abierto y cultivos protegidos), se obtuvo en el Instituto de Investigaciones Hortícolas Liliana Dimitrova mediante la androgénesis in vitro a partir de líneas haploides dobladas del cruzamiento entre la variedad ´Yolo Y´ proveniente de Estados Unidos, resistente al Virus Y de la papa (PVY) y tolerante al Virus del grabado del tabaco (TEV) y la línea cubana ´LB´ resistente al Virus del mosaico del tabaco (TMV), ambas adaptadas al trópico y de frutos grandes (200 g). Dicha variedad presenta un elevado potencial productivo y una adecuada calidad del fruto. The variety LICAL of double purpose (for open field and protected cultivations), was obtained in the Institute of Horticultural Investigations Liliana Dimitrova by means of the androgénesis in vitro starting from lines bent haploides of the cruzamiento among the variety ´Yolo Y´ coming from United States, resistant to the Virus Y of the potato (PVY) and tolerant to the Virus of the engraving of the tobacco (TEV) and the Cuban line resistant ´LB´ to the Virus of the mosaic of the tobacco (TMV), both adapted to the tropic and of big fruits (200 g). This variety presents a high productive potential and an appropriate quality of the fruit.
