Fernández Pérez, Maricel Lores Pérez, Yordán Guarat Planche, Rey Felipe approaches and indicators sustainable forest handling monitoring criterios e indicadores manejo forestal sostenible monitoreo La investigación se realizó en la Unidad Empresarial de Base Silvícola, ubicada en el municipio “Caimanera” perteneciente a la Empresa Agroforestal Guantánamo, con el objetivo de evaluar la tendencia de Manejo Forestal Sostenible, mediante el cálculo de índices agregados de sostenibilidad, en el período comprendido entre enero de 2016 a diciembre de 2018. Se realizaron talleres participativos con actores y decisores de la Unidad Silvícola y especialistas forestales de las delegaciones municipales para aunar criterios en busca de una definición de los criterios e indicadores para bosques de manglar. El Barómetro de Sostenibilidad demostró que el 56 % de los indicadores se encuentran en el Bienestar del Ecosistema y el 44 % se ubicó en el Bienestar Humano. Se determinaron las principales limitantes del desarrollo forestal, calificando las mismas según influencia y dependencia dentro del conjunto, las que originan los cambios negativos y conducen a tendencias no deseadas y se plantean acciones estratégicas para propiciar los cambios positivos de las mismas, que permitan la gestión, el monitoreo y la evaluación de los criterios e indicadores de sostenibilidad, lo cual contribuirá a la gestión y evaluación de la tendencia del manejo forestal en el ecosistema de manglar. The investigation was carried out in the Managerial Unit of Base Forestry “Caimanera”, belonging to the Company Agriculture Forest Guantánamo, with the objective of evaluating the tendency of Sustainable Forest Handling, by means of the calculation of indexes sustainable attachés, in the period understood among January from 2016 to December of 2018. Participatory workshops were used with actors and makers of the Unit Silvícola and forest specialists of the municipal delegations in the definition of the approaches and indicators for swamp forests. The Barometer of Sustainability demonstrated that 56 % of the indicators is in the Well-being of the Ecosystem and 44 % it was located in the Human Well-being. The main obstacles of the forest development were determined, qualifying the same ones according to influence and dependence inside the group, those that originate the negative changes and they drive to not wanted tendencies and they think about strategic actions to propitiate the positive changes of the same ones that it allows the administration, the monitoring and evaluation of the approaches and sustainable indicators, and it will contribute to the administration and evaluation of the tendency of the forest handling in the swamp ecosystem.
