Evaluación del estado actual de manglares en el sector costero de Caimanera Evaluation of the current state of mangroves in the coastal sector of Caimanera Fernández Pérez, Maricel Cristina Rodríguez Leyva, Orfelina Guarat Planche, Rey Felipe forest diagnosis mangrove bosque diagnóstico manglar El estudio se realizó en el bosque de manglar de la Unidad Empresarial de Base Silvícola “Caimanera” (UEBS), ubicada en el corredor xerofítico (Costa Sur), en el período comprendido entre junio del 2013 y febrero del 2014, con el el objetivo de realizar un diagnóstico biofísico en el bosque de manglar, caracterizado por un marcado deterioro. Se caracterizaron las condiciones físico-químicas del suelo y del agua, así como diferentes parámetros dasométricos, regeneración natural y mortalidad, así como la influencia de los principales problemas, a partir de la matriz de Vester. Como resultado importante se encontró que el bosque de manglar en el litoral costero del municipio Caimanera presenta un deterioro considerable como resultado del uso irracional de los recursos del ecosistema y otros eventos naturales, así como la tala indiscriminada, la insuficiente acción del cuerpo de guardabosque, los incumplimientos de las leyes existentes y la proliferación de micro vertederos. The study was carried out in the mangrove forest of the “Caimanera” Silvicultural Base Business Unit (UEBS), located in the xerophytic corridor (Costa Sur), in the period between June 2013 and February 2014, the objective was to make a diagnosis biophysicist in the mangrove forest, characterized by a marked deterioration. Physicochemical conditions of the soil and water were characterized, evaluating different dasometric parameters, natural regeneration and mortality, as well as the influence of the main problems from the Vester matrix. As important results, the mangrove forest on the coastal coast of the Caimanera municipality shows considerable deterioration because of the irrational use of ecosystem resources and other natural events, as well as indiscriminate logging, insufficient action of the ranger body, breaches of laws existing and proliferation of micro dumps.
