Environmental energy management for ecological restoration of three sectors of the basin of the río Sevilla, Santiago de Cuba

Abstract
This work is carried out in the drainage basin of the Rio Sevilla in the Guama municipality, Santiago de Cuba province, aimed at mitigating the environmental stress caused by the economic activity in the area. Emphasis is placed on the ecological restoration of the sectors most severely degraded of the basin and in the implementation of elements of the Integrated Environmental Management Energy to make the program more effective management of the study area, starting from its geographic boundaries and zoning, and a comprehensive diagnosis of the basin. the The main environmental problems were hierarchical with the implementation of the method of pairs compared and were identified as areas of greatest interest for the restoration of the coastal plain, the alluvial valley and the microphyll semidesiduo forest of the pre mountain heights, taking into account its state of conservation and environmental importance and on the basis of the classification of Cuban' vegetable formations. A survey environmental energy to identify the potential of the use of renewable energy sources for each energy resource present in the area It was made. A program of ecological restoration is presents for the basin, which includes the use of renewable energy sources as a function of the minimisation of impacts on the natural areas, organized into two subprogrammes, one directed at the protection and conservation of the sectors most severely degraded and another to the integrated environmental management of the basin.
