Space arrangements to increase productivity of the pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) ‘Lical’ in covered organoponic
Main Article Content
Abstract
The incidence of the plant density under conditions of covered organoponic was evaluated the physiologic answer of pepper (Capsicum annuum, L.) ‘Lical’. The experiments were carried out during two campaigns in the optimum season of the cultivation, where three design arrangements were studied: 11 plants/m2, density proposed in the technical manual of the organoponic; 8 and 6 plants/m2. The results showed differences statistically significant among the plantation densities studied as for the indicators of height and number of leaves. Both parameters had the same tendency however when increasing the plantation density the plants they increase their height, given by the elongation of the internode, although at the same time occur the overlap of the leaves, aspect that impacts directly in the relative rates of growth and the net assimilation, when reaching the biggest values with the distance of 40 cm among plants. It was demonstrated that the best behavior agrophysiological of cultivating ‘Lical’ under conditions of covered organoponic is reached with the density of plantation of 8 plants/m2 reaching yields of 4.2 ± 0.3 kg/m2.
