Frijol caupí INIFAT 2002 y boniato INIFAT 06/30: nuevas variedades inscritas en el listado oficial de variedades

Abstract
La variedad de Frijol Caupí INIFAT 2002, presenta crecimiento determinado erecto abierto, color de grano blanco con ojo negro, vainas con un promedio de 13 granos y peso de 100 semillas 15 g. Presenta un promedio de 17 vainas por plantas. La flor es de color blanco. El clon de boniato INIFAT 06-30 se obtuvo mediante el método de cruzamiento entre 11 clones de masa naranja proveniente del primer cruzamiento entre los clones ´Vavilov´ y ´Canel´. Se realizó la evaluación de la descendencia en cuanto a morfología, fenología, resistencia al tetúan, propiedades organolépticas y componentes de rendimiento durante las 10 primeras generaciones para determinar la descendencia con las mejores características (color de la masa, ciclo de vida, rendimiento y tolerancia al tetuán) para su introducción en la práctica productiva. Se encuentra generalizado en la provincia de Cienfuegos, en menos de un año por sus resultados altamente promisorios.
