Response of pepper (Capsicum annuum, L.) cultivar Lical to the joint application of biofertilizer microorganisms under semiprotected organopony in optimum planting date
Main Article Content
Abstract
Semicovered organopony demands the establishment of their own methodologies for managing nutrient availability for cultivated species, as a result of the highly efficient physiological conditions generated by covering the plantations. Therefore, an experiment was carried out in the semicovered organoponic located in the UBPC "Fernando García Rosales" –Murgas, Boyeros municipality-, to study the response of pepper (Capsicum annuum, L.) cultivar Lical, to the joint application of Azotobacter chroococcum, Bacillus megatherium and Glomus hoi-like on organoponic substrate. The results showed that the bioorganic application is statistically significant superior than the control (managed according to the standard technical instructions) for indicators such as plant height at the onset of fruiting, the net assimilation rate, the relative growth rate and the absolute growth rate. Similarly, the alternative proposed increases fruit weight in 11% and the yield in 26%, when compared to the control plants.
