Avance de la media poblacional en generaciones segregantes del cruce Solanum lycopersicum x Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme
Main Article Content
Abstract
The use of the wild germoplasm in the breeding programs of tomato charges bigger importance every day, since in them this contained great part of the genetic diversity of the cultivation. Keeping in mind the presence of resistance genes to Alternaria solani in the species Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme, a breeding program was developed with a view to obtaining resistant lines to the pathogen. To know the advance for selection of the introgression of the resistance genes in five segregating populations coming from the crossing Solanum lycopersicum x Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme was carried out the present study. The results demonstrate that it happened an introgresión of the genes of resistance of the species Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme in the segregating populations evaluated and it recovered the size of the fruits of the commercial varieties used as progenitors.
