Indicadores edáficos para medir la sostenibilidad de suelos ferralíticos rojos de la provincia La Habana, Cuba
Main Article Content
Abstract
Physical degradation of Cuban Red Ferralitic soils (Ferralsols) demands the selection of soils indicators, precise, sensitive and operative, to control the changes that take place in them. Diverse ecosystems were compared under different managements. It was determined different physical and chemical variables of soils, and it was evaluated as them they varied in relation to the reference area (forest, >100 years). A proposal of soils indicators was elaborated and values thresholds were identified, starting from which it happens an interference. The variables "matter organic", "waterstables aggregates”, "dispersion coeficient” and “infiltration" were the most sensitive indicators to the degradation of the soils.
