Response agronomy of promissory clones of cassava under agroecological conditions of the Granma province, Cuba

Abstract
The response of selected promissory clones of the Bank of Germplasm of cassava was evaluated (Manihot esculenta Crantz), like part of the tasks of conservation of the genetic diversity of the food belonging to the State Technical Scientific Service: Evaluation of Ecological Zonal, training and production of seeds of fruit- bearing, green vegetables, root vegetables, grains and oleaginous of the Agricultural Experimental Station in Jucaibama of the Institute of Agricultural Research “Jorge Dimitrov”. During the study the following variable were evaluated: plants height (m), stem diameter(cm), root commercial number/plants, root no commercial number/plants, root commercial mass/ plants (kg ha-1), root no commercial mass (kg ha-1). The results showed a different behavior in the plants height and stem diameter and found the better yield in the clone P1 and P2. The best clones were selected and they were planted in the agroecosystem, which permitted to conclude that the P1 and P2 clones showed bigger adaptability environmental.
