Bacterial population study of saline agroecosystems in Ciénaga de Zapata
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the last decades, nature experiences changes, mostly favored by anthropic activity, that will generate a negative impact in the future. For this reason, it becomes necessary the search of biotechnical alternatives as the employment of the microorganisms with environmental and agricultural impact, in the recovery in front of the extreme events. The objective of this research is to study the microbial diversity of saline agroecosystems of the Ciénaga de Zapata, affected by this condition. For the collections of the soil, samples of 10 g, to a depth of 20 cm, were collected and processed by the Serial Dilutions method. Purified isolated obtained were sowed in the Nutritious Agar culture medium with different levels of NaCl (0, 50, 150 and 200 mM) and they were incubated to 30 ºC during 24 hours, to evaluate their capacity to tolerate the NaCl. Among the studied farms, the biggest concentrations of total microorganisms were found in the farm 7 located in the community of Soplillar, and the farms 16 and 18 of Cayo Ramona. The diversity of bacterial morphotypes of more prevalence in the studied agroecosystems was of white color, mucilaginous with round borders. Five of the isolated obtained tolerated the higher concentration studied (200 mM), therefore they were selected to continue their evaluation.
