Main Article Content
Abstract
Reproduction’s study of Cylas formicarius elegantulus Summers over natural food were done, under laboratory environment, in order to standardise the insect mass rearing method and to improve its management as standard insect at biofactories. Several infestation densities (1,1.5, and 2 couple/20 g tubercle) were tested as well as female fertility and fecundity at different food supply cycle (2,7 and 15 days). There were achieved that infestation density of 1 couple/20g tubercle core was better among the otherones tested, fecundity of the females which remain inside recollections bottles do no reduced when change the food ever 2-7 days. The warner months (temperatures from 26.3 to 27.6 0C) the mass rearing was more productivity (22.3 adult/couple) and a biological cycle from eggs-imago (30-33 days). With the prevention and disinfecting methods used were avoiding the growth of non-target organism.
