Molecular markers applied to the management of the genebank
Main Article Content
Abstract
The use of molecular markers technology is more frequently applied to the GeneBanks management. Those tools detect the singularity of a source of genetic variation into and between accessions without the environmental influence, which facilitates the biodiversity characterization process, detections of duplicates, validity the genetic identity of the preserved materials, support the effectively of breeding programs and the conservations strategies as well as facilitates the seed management. However, the molecular markers technology still long away for some institutions because it requires advanced installations, qualified technical staff and its implementation could be expensive. This work pretends to updating about the routinely use of molecular markers into GeneBanks management.
