The cassava crop (Manihot esculenta Crantz) in family farming systems of Sierra del Rosario, Artemisa, Cuba

Abstract
The management of cassava crop at Sierra del Rosario according to its agro ecological contexts was described with the use of methods like participatory observation, farm transects, personal conversations and surveys. It was also documented the main features of the crop at peasant farms where is present. The spatial distribution of the crop and some guidelines for the strength of cassava management by peasant farmers at the area was also referred.
