Abstract
The food is essential to sustain life; This can be Good, Fair or Poor, depending ingesting the energy contained in food Nutrients (or nutrients) and dietary fiber; ie a BALANCED DIET OR HEALTHY able to meet our nutritional needs, and that is Adequate, for age, sex, physical activity or other specific health situation Enough indispensable components as needed, to avoid monotony Varied Balanced and as proportions of nutrients as established. Although dietary fiber is not a nutrient, it is important in the digestive subsystem and prevention of diseases such as cancer, diabetes, obesity, among other conditions; This explains the importance of eating enough vegetables and fruits (of 250-400 grams per day) because these foods the main sources of such component; the importance of the creation of the Urban Agriculture, Suburban and Family stands.
