Plague and natural enemy incidence in barrier crops of ecological papaya plantation “Maradol Roja” variety

Abstract
The plant biodiversity constitute one alternative in the plague integral management in the papaya crop, variety “Maradol Roja”. The use of barrier plants in the crops are important in the invasion steps and establishment of plagues, by to constitute the physical barrier and entertainment of different insects, taking in to account that this plants contribute with attraction visual and smell before to contact with the principal crop. This research to make inside project: Ecological papaya production with “Maradol variety” for the Urban Agriculture Conditions. The plantation was to make in red ferralitic soil, in Santiago de Las Vegas, locality. It is evaluated fourth plants varieties how barrier: Sorghum sp., Tagetes erecta, Hibiscus sabdarifa L. e Ipomoea Crassicaulis. The periodic evaluations were to make to detect of entomofaune present and the date was process with frequency distribution, in excel program. Enemy and plague was identified in these crops and it is recommended use simultaneous of three, because to incite favorable in the plague agroecologic management detected in this crop, however don’t recommender the how barrier use of Hibiscus sabdarifa L., in papaya for the Cuban conditions.
