Abstract
The training process validation for farmers in the Ciénaga de Zapata a presented as a participatory space in this paper. These actions included eight exchanges designed to strengthening the local capacities in the crops agro-ecological management. Two groups performed the evaluators: sixteen experts with professional experience of more than five years in youth and adult education through participatory spaces; and 64% from trained farmers. The instruments used to compile the information of the training beneficiaries beneficiaries, were in the case of farmers, participatory evaluation techniques (at the end of each workshop) and survey (at the end of the training process). On the other hand, the case of the experts, the programs and the reports (of each workshop), were analyzed keeping in mind the correspondence with participatory spaces on a scale of 1 to 10. Afterward, the degree of agreement of criteria (significant for p<0.05; very significant for p<0.01) was determined through Kendall's coefficient and a Chi-square test. The results showed that 75 % of the farmer’s responses stated that they had participated in the design and implementation of the training process. In the same way, the criteria agreement was corroborated in significant way through the expert´s opinions, which allowed validating the workshops as participative actions. The research confirmed the methodology relevance used in the design and develop of workshops, as well as the assimilation by the beneficiaries of the training process of the new practices proposed.
